Risk Factors In Such Funds
-
Securities linked to equities are prone to daily price swings and are therefore volatile. Trading volumes and settlement times may limit the liquidity of investments made in the Scheme. Unexpected events may result in a large extension of settlement times.
-
There is some risk associated with investing in equities and equity-related instruments, thus prospective buyers should only purchase equity schemes if they can afford to assume the possibility of losing their money.
-
In contrast to securities that are listed on the markets or provide investors with additional exit alternatives, such as put options, securities that are not quoted on stock exchanges are by their very nature illiquid and pose a higher liquidity risk.
