Risk Factors In Such Funds
-
In contrast to securities that are listed on the exchanges or provide investors with alternative exit options, securities that are not quoted on stock exchanges are by their very nature illiquid and incur a higher liquidity risk.
-
Maintaining sufficient controls to oversee transactions, evaluating the risk a derivative contributes to the portfolio, and accurately projecting price or interest rate movements are all necessary when investing in derivatives.
-
The execution risk associated with the scheme could mean that the rates displayed on the screen differ from the rate at which the derivative transaction is ultimately executed.
-
Under some conditions, the Scheme might not be able to perform derivative transactions at all. The Scheme may experience a liquidity problem, for instance, if there are not enough bids or if trade is halted by a price limit or circuit breakers.
